Foundry TTS (vs Roll20.net)

Has anyone tried the Foundry TTS?

One of my players has made the push for me to try Roll20.net, which I’ve been workin on building characters and the like. But the system feels kinda clunky.

I do like the new Evil Hat character sheets though, and have most of the characters now built in there.

Does anyone have an opinion about Foundry, especially vs Roll20?

Of course, I found Randy’s article as soon as I posted this.

I don’t know about Foundry, but there have been some significant updates to Roll20, which I might get to publishing if I get around to it. This thread contains some of the recent history.

I have a preference for Foundry, however the Roll20 official Fate sheet is just phenomenal.

Skimble’s Fate stuff for Foundry have great functionality which makes up for a lack of polish.

I have posted an updated version of the guide showing the use of rollable tables and linking to the new character sheet attributes for macros and tokens. Randy has uploaded to the SRD. This is the setup I used for GenCon online.

An excellent update on how to manage things on Roll20. I particularly recommend the macros on page 9, which allow character management without needing to look at the character sheet, for the most part.

That resource is so good I have it on the Play Online page of the SRD. V3 was released recently. See https://fate-srd.com/playing-fate-online
